Pregnancy update: I am 19 weeks today!

I am feeling great! I am busy running the three sites, running after my two toddlers and of course, running around like a chicken with my head cut off. I am scatter brained people!!! But I am happy! We did, after all, find out what we were having…

Drum roll please!

We are having a boy! We are so excited! We had a full scan done and our little boy is wonderfully healthy (and already a heavy little guy!).

Pregnancy and Toddlerhood

We have spent the past week S.I.C.K. I didn’t want to spend a lot of time watching TV (plus, my 2 year old loses interest very quickly) so Shelby did get some quality iPad time. Both girls love it! If it is educational and keeps them entertained so I can sit in the corner and cough my brains out, why not?

shelby ipad We managed to still have our weekly co-op meeting, but the following day we were all feeling sick so thankfully we did still get some fun time out of the house! And did I mention we went to the doctor and found out we are having a boy? Oh, I did? Well, we are very excited :)

Below is a picture I sent my husband (Anthony) when I needed a little sympathy. Do you ever do that? It is a pitiful picture, yet it fully captured how our day was going. My back was killing me (as always), Karli was sick enough to just cry whenever I wasn’t holding her, and I was exhausted. So I spent most of last week reading to the girls while laying down. Here is what we looked like:  mommy karli sick

Anthony texted back “Wow, you look excited babe.” Yes, yes I was. It was a very exciting day. NOT.

Anyway, throughout the week, Shelby still asked for her learning time. It was a challenge since Karli was so clingy, but we still managed to plug away at our current curriculum. We are working through All About Learning Pre-Reading program. The girls both love it! I tell you what, Ziggy turns their frowns upside down! We don’t use all aspects of the curriculum yet, but we are able to pick and choose for now. Next fall, I will start over from the beginning and really dig in. But for now, Shelby loves it! Here is a picture of Karli  with Ziggy, the Zebra!
